A massive thank you to Guy Sambrook and the incredible Hire team at Travis Perkins plc for their vital support in a massive festive mission! Together, we have successfully managed the delivery and storage of over 20,000 toys heading to children in Ukraine this Christmas via the Plant & Hire Aid Alliance.

This was a major logistical operation:

  • Travis Perkins collected 60 pallets of toys from a secure location.
  • They provided safe storage for over six months at their National Distribution Centre in Northampton.
  • To ensure everything arrived perfectly on time for the upcoming ‘Wrapathon’, a dedicated team of seven consolidated the entire load onto a double-deck trailer, delivering it safely to the Ardent Hire facility in Ipswich.

As Guy Sambrook, General Manager of the National Distribution Centre at Travis Perkins, said: “Due to the current ongoing war, we welcomed the opportunity to assist to make sure the children of Ukraine have a little joy at Christmas time.”

Jeremy Fish CEO of Ardent Hire and Founding member of the PHAA, said, “Partnerships like this show the true power of collaboration and community spirit. Thank you to everyone at Travis Perkins and Ardent Hire who made this delivery possible on behalf of the Plant & Hire Aid Alliance”.
