On 16th October 2022 the Plant and Hire Aid Alliance is planning a convoy of vehicles, representing the plant and plant hire industry, that will take aid to Ukraine. Working with Rotary International, our plan is to drive to a warehouse in Košice, East Slovakia, where our supplies will be despatched all over Ukraine by local volunteers. This is already a tried and tested route that has made an impact to the lives of thousands of Ukrainians.
Get involved in 3 ways:
- Join the convoy and help take donations to Košice for immediate, onward distribution to refugees.
- Donate items from the above list which the convoy will take on your behalf.
- Donate cash which we’ll use to buy items from the list which we’ll take on your behalf.
How To Donate
- Items needed: long-lasting food and baby food, hygiene items, medicines, bandages, any items for elderly or disabled care (such as crutches, wheelchairs, adult diapers) blankets, duvets and sleeping bags, suitcases, stationery for schoolchildren and winter clothing.
- Ideally new or nearly new
- Please pack items into heavy duty plastic bags or boxes and label the contents. Ideally similar items should be packed together to minimise sorting and repacking
- Items should be brought to Ardent Hire Solutions, 289-297 Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP3 9BS on or before Wednesday 12th October. However, if this is not possible we will still take them and transport them to Slovakia, then to Ukraine at a later date
- Our depot is very busy. In the interests of Health & Safety please do not just turn up. Instead contact ukraine@ardenthire.com with details of your donation and we will agree a mutually convenient time for delivery.
